Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement on a 2023 Honda Odyssey. Adding suspension enhancement to a minivan is something that a lot of people don't think about until you start to tow with one or have heavy loads in it and then all of a sudden the suspension really isn't made to have all that weight a lot of times. Or even if it is, it's not able to really utilize its full range of motion because the vehicle is going to sag. And partly it's because your jounce bumpers are just designed for comfort and that's a good thing. But when you're using it for towing that trailer or loading up the back of it, that's when you really start to feel that sag. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Timbren rear suspension enhancement for the rear axle on 2022 Toyota Tundra. Adding rear suspension enhancement to any truck is a great idea, especially if you plan on putting some payload in the bed or having trailers that you tow regularly. A lot of trucks today are designed with comfort in mind. They become daily drivers for a lot of people and that's totally fine, but when you start to tow, sometimes you're gonna notice that void for comfort when it starts to sag. And that's not necessarily that it's going to overwork your truck. But if you wanna supplement it and give it the best help that it can when it comes to supplementing your suspension, and just making your truck feel a little bit tougher while it tows, this is a great option to do that. more

These air helper springs are more commonly known as airbags are going to mount between the frame of your vehicle and the top of your axle. And what they're designed to do is they will help to support the rear end of your truck when hauling a heavy load in the bed or on the hitch. These air helper strings are going to have a load carrying capacity of 5,000 pounds and a PSI rating of a maximum of 100 PSI. Now these specific airbags are going to be able to, you can air them down to zero because they have an internal jounce bumper. more

Air Lift Ride Control Air Helper Springs Installation - 2018 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install our Air Lift Air Control Air Helper Springs on our 2018 GMC Sierra 1500. These air helper springs, or more commonly known as air bags, are going to mount to the side of your frame rail and in already pre-existing holes into the top of your leaf spring pack. And essentially what they're designed to do is to help limit the travel of your suspension. Whenever you're hooking up to a trailer or hauling a heavy load in the bed of your truck, the air bag's gonna take some of the weight so that your truck doesn't have to squat so bad and you can get the front end of your truck back on the ground, your headlights will be back, pointed at the road. A lot of times when people are towing super heavy things with 1500s, because they're built more for comfort than a 2500 or a 3500, they can tend to squat a lot in the back, and that's what these are designed to help with. more

Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs Installation - 2024 Ram 3500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500XL Rear Airbags on a 2024 Ram 3500. 3500 Rams can tow quite a bit of weight. The issue is when you put a lot of weight, the truck starts to sag and that causes a decent amount of issues as far as steering, braking, your headlights not being level and overall it puts a lot of stress on your suspension because as your shocks start to compress, they're gonna lose the ability to really be able to cushion and move because they're gonna be maxed out or close to it. And the reason being is because these trucks still kinda keep comfort in mind. So your factory jounce bumpers look something like this and these mount up where our airbags are and the issue is, is for it to compress, it takes a long, big gap for this to hit the bottom. So in the meantime, that suspension's gonna be crushing down and it's gonna translate, you know, again, all that not as much steering feel, braking, any of that up front and that's where airbags come into play. more

Adding air helper springs to the back of your vehicle is gonna allow you to help to bring up the back end of the vehicle whenever you're hauling a heavy load in the bed of your truck or behind it on the hitch. This is what our airbags are gonna look like when they're installed. You're gonna have a double convoluted design, which essentially means that there's gonna be two bubbles instead of one big one. And separating that in the middle is going to be a very strong steel band. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 rear helper springs on a 2023 Toyota Tacoma. Now this is what your airbags are gonna look like when they're installed on your Tacoma. And before, there's a very small jounce bumper that sits pretty low, and really for this to bottom out, it's gonna take a lot of squishing to do that, and that's what the bump stops or jounce bumpers are there for, so it doesn't bottom out the suspension. But the problem is leading up to that means that the shocks are gonna really compress. And a lot of times if you're either towing a trailer or have a heavy load in the back of the truck, that means the suspension's gonna be squatted, and that transmits quite a bit of issues, not only on the suspension being overloaded and not having that full stroke, but also it is gonna mess with the front of the vehicle too. So that's gonna come down to steering feel. more

The idea behind air helper springs is so that you can help to support the rear end of your vehicle when you're towing a trailer, or if you're like my friend here, this is his personal vehicle that he uses for work. He owns a concrete company, and he's got a lot of concrete tools in this toolbox and in the bed of his truck. So his truck is already constantly sagging. This is what our airbags look like when they're installed and it's really nice, they use a lot of brackets here that all bolt together, but there's no drilling required in all of this installation. So really it's not too terribly hard to do. The bags themself are awesome construction. They're double convoluted. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2022 Ford F-250 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs. Adding Air Helper Springs to the back end of your F-250 is gonna do a couple different things. First and foremost, it's going to add extra support in the rear end of your truck, whenever you're hauling a heavy load in the bed or if you have a trailer behind it that's causing the rear end of your truck to sag, it's going to help add support back to it to bring the truck back up to a level position. Now when using these, you still want to have a little bit of sag from factory ride height because your truck will have rake from the factory that is designed to counteract some of that weight. You will want a little bit of sag, but not, you don't want the back of your truck to be crushed by the weight that you're hauling. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look, and installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000, Ultimate Rear Helper springs with internal jounce bumper on a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500. Now adding airbags to any truck is gonna be great, especially if you have a bunch of different loads that you may tow, that maybe vary because you get the adjustability of having different air pressures for different loads, and it's just gonna take a lot of the strain off your factory suspension, it's gonna keep the vehicle from squatting, and overall, you're just gonna have a level ride which translates to better steering, better braking, and your headlights aren't gonna be shining up, there's a lot of different things, but overall, it's just gonna make it better for the driver. A lot of times, once you air those bags up with that heavy load, instead of the truck kind of sagging down and feeling like it's struggling, it's gonna give it that little extra supplemental help on that suspension to really feel like it's got a little bit more gusto to tow that trailer. Now these replace your factory jounce bumpers, which from the factory, they're fairly small, they bolt up here, and others actually has a lift plate that closes up the gap. But the problem is, is that suspension, it has to compress a decent amount before it bottoms out, and that means that truck is gonna sag all the way down until it bottoms, and then at this point, you're really not getting a whole lot of cushion, and that's where these come into play. You can adjust the pressure for, you know, the weight of the trailer, but also these have an internal jounce bumper, so it's gonna act as a bump stop as you're going down the road, so you still get that nice comfort of going down without a trailer loaded, but also it's heavy-duty enough to really supplement. more

Now, taking a look at the factory jounce bumper compared to our SumoSpring, you can clearly see the difference, and this is where that sway control really comes into play because as we're leaning on our vehicle, this takes a while to engage, hit the axle, and then kind of fight against it, where this one's gonna engage pretty quick, not really letting the vehicle sway much. And so it's gonna fight against it on both sides, just kind of closing that gap. And also, it's contoured to the axle, so that's pretty nice. Definitely the difference here is just gonna be how quickly it engages, and that's really gonna prevent your suspension from sagging down and being overworked. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the SES Coil Enhancement System from Timbren, and we're gonna be showing it on our 2022 Toyota RAV4. We already have ours installed, and the first thing I want to do is take it through our test course and drive around with it and just see how it performs without any weight on the RAV4. Most of the time, that's probably how you're gonna be driving anyway and you don't want it to affect the ride quality of the vehicle without any weight in it. So we'll see how it does. Three quarter-ton trucks like we have here today do a really good job of towing. And our neighbor today, he has a very nice truck that he has, a B&W Companion Fifth Wheel. So a lot of that load is gonna be right directly on the truck. And a lot of times, that's gonna cause it to squat no matter really what the trailer is. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about our Timbren's rear suspension enhancement system on the 2023 Jeep Gladiator. So we took off our tires so we can give you a better look at this. Now this is what it's gonna look like when it's installed. This is gonna go into this jounce cup at the top. And taking a look at this jounce cup, this is more of a last ditch effort to protect your axle because we're gonna have this coil spring back here, but if you hit any really big bumps or anything like that, this is just gonna stop your axle from making contact at the top. Now this isn't that great. more

Hi Matt with etrailer. Today when we're talking about our Timbren Active Off-Road Bump Stops for our front or rear axle on our 2023 Jeep Gladiator. Now these Timbrens specifically are gonna give you a lot more support as opposed to what comes stock with your Jeep, this jounce bumper right here. This is not a lot larger than it, but it's gonna give you a lot more support overall with this very durable rubber as opposed to this foam. So for how it's gonna install, it's gonna sit right in this coil spring. As you can see right now we had this taller Timbren in right now, but the installation for both of them is gonna be identical but just with a few exceptions. more

Now the Georgetown is built on Ford's rock solid F53 chassis, and this chassis is used across a variety of platforms. So it can leave you sometimes with either wanting more support or maybe your ride is just a little bit too stiff, and this is where SumoSprings are gonna come in. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at one of my favorite upgrades for a Class A coach, and that's gonna be SumoSprings Front Helper Springs and we're installing them today on a 2020 Forest River Georgetown GT5. So this is what the SumoSprings are gonna look like when they're installed on your coach. We're over here on the passenger side. Now they install in place of your factory bump stops here. So you can see the size difference in between them, but more importantly, let's go see them in action on our test course. more

So what we'll do is give ya a real life example on how these springs can help eliminate sag, and the truck squatting down in the back, so, right now we're backed up to a camper, don't have any weight on it or anything, but we're ready to go more or less.
